After 3 mad months of creation, sound proofing, constructions, wiring, soldering and everything else imaginable, we're proud and pleased to announce that our second digital studio is now officially open! The original studio has been upgraded to the very latest versions of the software along a with some nice new kit, valve pre-amps, mics etc, and the whole place has had some refreshment to give a new burst of life for the coming year.
It's a very exciting time for us, and we're celebrating the launch of the new studio with an open day on Sunday 3rd Feb between 2-7pm where anyone is welcome to come down, see what we do and meet us, as well benefit from a crazy half-price day available per booking to those who come down to the open day! This happy event happens to co-incide with Airtight's 5th Birthday so we're continuing the celebrations on Sunday with a launch party at Matt & Phred's in Manchester, from 7 'til late, where we'll be able to hear some of the musicians who've recorded with us doing some live stuff. These should include members of the Earlies, Sara Lowes and King Creosote amongst others. Entrance is open to all, it's £3 on the door and should be a fantastic night full of wonderful music and a visual feast!Come and join us...

Great things in the pipeline for Airtight and for recording musicians in Manchester. After nearly 5 years of fantastic projects and exciting events, we're proud to soon be converting a second studio within Airtight Productions, fully equipped and equally capable of professional recording. The second studio will be orientated slightly more towards the programming and production side of things but we will still be adding a fully sound insulated dedicated live room next door....
And we're taking the opportunity to redesign and upgrade the existing studio and the building a little to make it even more of a cool space to be in!
WATCH THIS SPACE - we'll be doing some special introductory offers for the new studios, and we expect the new studio to be ready by the beginning of 2008!
Normal service in the main studio until then, of course...

Well it's been a crazy year since our last update here, the business is certainly breaking all our expectations. We've completed a number of Album projects including a new up and coming band called 'The Earlies' (well worth checking out, theearlies.com). The video production side has also taken off, recent DVD projects include artists such as Gary Numan, The Alarm, Dexys Midnight Runners, Tony Hadley, Sparks and Paul Carrack to name but a few with many more booked this year. All of these are done in conjunction with Manchesters newest TV and Film company, Dash Productions (www.dashproductions.co.uk)

We've just completed our first 6 months in business and to say it's been busy would be an understatment! Having now undertaken numerous recording projects from full albums to EPs and Demos with many more on the way, not to mention some very exciting DVD projects coming up....everything is looking rosy. At some point in the not too distant future there will be some more special offers similar to our 25% discount we had in January...watch this space....

Finally we have got the new Airtight Productions website up and running, there will be updates and changes along the way but it's all looking spiffy!
Construction of the Studio is currently motoring ahead, as you can see to your right, with John the Builder (alas not Bob) doing a sterling job. We're looking at an early November opening with any luck, don't forget to sign up to the mailing list for regular updates.
One quick plug and reminder is that in two weeks time, October 11th, there is the next round of Manchester's finest club night 'FUSE', fully endorsed by Airtight Productions….mainly because one of the directors DJs there every now and again!
